Rajini intro song in Endhiran

As before we had in all his earlier films even Endhiran will have an 'athiradi' opening song for the Super Star. And it is sung by SP Balasubramaniam.

The song which goes like "Naan Kandathu aararivu, Nee Kondaahu erarivu/Naan katrathu aaru mozhi/nee katrathu nooru mozhi is written by Vairamuthu. We can expect AR Rahman would have weaved a magic around this hero worshipping song.

Meanwhile a reminder of the story of Endhiran. Rajni plays dual roles in Endhiran. One is a scientist and the other is a Robot. Scientist Rajni, Dr. Vaseedgaran creates a Robot with artificial intelligence – like that of sixth sense in humans – which looks just like a human and behaves too like a human to help mankind. But the robot later acquires more human characters. It falls in love with Aishwarya Rai and writes romantic poems. Knowing about the extra ordinary intelligence of the Robot the villains try to get control of the Robot and plan evil activities. Scientist Rajni then fights to save the Robot falling into the hands of the enemies and destroys the evil forces using the Robot itself.

The name is Rajinikanth

You can find a Rajini fan even in Mars, they say. At a time when the Superstar is getting ready for the music launch of his forthcoming ‘Endhiran’, which is scheduled in Malaysia tomorrow, Bollywood actors have been showering praises on him.

Kunal Kapoor, who has repeatedly said in interviews that he is a big fan of Rajini, is going gaga over a punch dialogue of the ‘Thalaivar’ doing rounds in the web. “Love the dialogue, Go Rajini sir go,” he tweeted.

Reacting to the dialogue, Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat tweeted, “If only Hollywood had a Rajini!” Needless to say, this clearly shows the reach of the Tamil superstar across the country.

Meanwhile, Sun Network chairman Kalanithi Maran, who usually stays away from events related to his Sun Pictures’ production ventures, has left for Malaysia to take part in ‘Endhiran’ music launch.

VELAYUDHAM: THE COUNTDOWN BEFORE COUNTDOWN!

Velayudham is Jayam Raja's second venture without his brother Ravi (He earlier directed an Arjun starrer...)

This is Genelia's second time with Vijay, who was earlier cast opposite him in Sachin.

Although he has distributed Vijay's movies (Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, Priyamanavale and Pokkiri), this will be Aascar Ravichandran's first film as a producer with Vijay.

Hansika's two films in Tamil are in the pipeline (Maapillai with Dhanush and Ich with Jayam Ravi); but Velayudham might get the honor of her first film if it gets released sooner than the others.

Saranya Mohan will work with Vijay for the second time after her stint with him in Kadhalukku Mariyadhai as a child artist

Silambarasan has committed two films simultaneously after ‘VTV’. One is the film in which he pairs opposite Sarath Kumar's daughter Varalaxmi. The other one is the film of Lingusamy.

Lingusamy film is a bi-lingual in Tamil and Telugu. Buzz is that Tamannah has been asked to give 25 days successively for the film by Lingusamy. Tamannah plays a law college student and she has also been asked to lose some weight and get fit for the role. Lingusamy's associates say Simbu-Tamanna pair will be as much talked about as Simbu-Trisha jodi in ‘VTV’.

Tamannah also has an author backed role which has more emotions than dialogues they say. She will have just two pages of words to be spoken in the entire films and you will see a new Tamannah they add.

For the important role of Tamannah's brother in the film Lingusamy tried Madhavan and is still waiting for his answer. While waiting for Madhavan, Lingusamy also has a stand by in Ajmal, just in case.

The shooting of the Hindi remake of VTV began in Chennai on Wednesday (28 July). The first scene was canned at the Ode Cafe gallery on the scenic ECR stretch. Prateek Babbar, the hero of the movie, is in town for this purpose. Like its original, the Hindi VTV will have Rahman's hugely successful tunes. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, this movie also has Trisha as the heroine.

Trisha looked very cheerful after the first day's shoot. When asked about the proceedings, she replied that everything went according to the plan and it was all fun during the first day. Having worked with Gautham already, Trisha praised the director for his meticulous planning and said she feels very much at home with VTV unit. Being an experienced actor herself, Trisha has no problems working with a relatively newcomer Prateek. "We all had a blast during the first day shoot and I hope it is the same for the entire shoot", she smilingly concluded.

Director Thyagarajan, who is currently directing Ponnar Shankar with his son Prashanth in the lead, showed the few scenes that have been filmed so far to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M Karunanidhi recently. On seeing those scenes, the CM is reported to have suggested a few corrections to the Arukkani role played by Sneha.

Ponnar Shankar, which is based on the novel penned by the CM, is being made on his guidance. It may be recalled that it was the CM who put forth Namitha’s name for negative role in the film citing that she would be very apt for it.
